CHARLIE is 2 1/2 year-old, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for a new home. He was rescued when his family moved and said they couldn't take him along. CHARLIE grew up with two other Great Danes and got along fine! He plays fine with other dogs (we've only had him around a few so far), but we're hoping to find a home where he will be the only dog in the home. He walks wonderfully on leash and basic obedience classes will be included with his adoption. CHARLIE has been living in a foster home with a 10 year-old girl and absolutely loves her. He seems to like ALL children very much! CHARLIE is a loving dog that will bring a lot of joy into his new home... he's quite the character... very playful and loving. Please contact Jolene at 208.365.6844 or visit www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form to inquire about CHARLIE. He is waiting to meet you!
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] KODA
Meet KODA! He is a two-year old mix... we're not too sure what the mix IS, but he is such a handsome boy! We're guessing a 'heinz' mix of Shepherd, Heeler and maybe a few others thrown in for good measure. What we DO know is that KODA LOVES kids. And KODA loves all other animals as well, including cats! He is a very outgoing and friendly dog! He's house and crate trained, and has very nice manners inside the house. He would love to jog with you, go camping, hiking, fishing... you name it, he's up for it! He's been a family dog and needs a home where he can be included in everything that goes on. KODA is microchipped, neuterd and has all of his vaccinations. He knows basic obedience and is very easy to train! He'll make a wonderful off-leash companion for years to come! Please visit www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form to inquire about KODA. Or you can call Jolene at 208.365.6844.
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] SUSIE
What a GREAT dog THIS one is! This lovely lady is SUSIE... a 1 1/2 year-old, spayed, purebred German Wirehair Pointer. SUSIE has a bit of a sad history... she was out wandering with her brother over near Vale, OR and was picked up by animal control as a stray. That's when I found out about her. I immediately went over and got her (she was at the Malheur County Dog Shelter)... what a sweet, sweet girl she is! She's average size for a female GWP; around 55 pounds. SUSIE is an awesome housedog... great with cats (I only have one, but they really like each other), LOVES to play, romp and wrestle with the other dogs (Penny is her 'bestest friend in the whole wide world') and adores all other people and kids. She's gentle and loving, yet has the energy for a five-mile off-leash run whenever you wanna go! She is 'whistle' trained... VERY responsive! I personally am not much of a 'leash' person because my environment is so off-leash friendly, but SUSIE is so willing, anything we teach her will be easy. She's a lovely, lovely 'lady' of a dog and will make a wonderful companion for a loving family. Indoor (when you're home) home only... inquire by filling out a Family Profile Form at www.therightcarefordogs.com or call Jolene @ 365.6844
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] CODY
HI... my name is CODY. A little over three years ago I was picked up off the highway by a young couple who wanted to save me from being hit by a car. Then they enlisted in the Army and moved and I was supposed to go and stay with a family member. That family member never showed up and I was left all alone again. So I went back out onto the highway and another couple picked me up and named me CODY. I have been with them for awhile. My foster mom used to take me up to her friend's house and taught me some agility. I liked that A LOT! I learned really fast and I want to do that again! I am smart. I love watching the kids get on and off the school bus and I love playing with them. I love kids. I never go potty in the house, I like my crate and I have good manners... I really do. I'm about 4 years-old and I don't chew stuff up. I heard there are dogs that go into the hospitals and let the people there pet them... I want to do that! I would be GOOD at that. I love to be petted!! I love to go in the car, I love to go for walks... I love any attention I can get. I like other dogs really well and I like to play. I'm not too big and I fit just about anywhere. Please call Jolene (208.365.6844) if you can let me come and stay with you. I promise I'll be good. My name is CODY. Please go to www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form to find out more about CODY.
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] CHORI
CHORI... sweet CHORI. What a neat dog she is. She is a purebred German Shepherd. She's rather tiny... only about 45 pounds worth. This dog has come so far in such a short period of time... she's adorable. BUT I have to tell you... I will only adopt this dog into a home that has time for her. I take CHORI on a 10 mile run as close to every other day as I can (don't laugh... I only walk 1 mile... she RUNS 10 miles off-leash)! If I take care to get her that much exercise and mental stimulation, she's a JOY to live with. Without the exercise, she starts obsessing over stuff like the ball, or a bucket, etc... CHORI LOVES other dogs and LOVES to play. Her favorite age of kid is about 10 years old... she thinks they are the most interesting and the most fun! She'll follow kids anywhere! She's a GREAT babysitter! She's crate trained and house trained. She's a little too interested in my cat to go into a new home with a cat without some extra training. This girl is a snuggle-bug and will lay by your chair and snooze while you veg, but again... she needs interaction and EXERCISE. She is no back-yard dog. She needs to go and do and learn and travel. DO NOT inquire about this dog because you think she's pretty. Inquire if you have TIME and are an active person who wants a constant companion. Please visit www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form or you can call Jolene at 208-365-6844.
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] WALLACE
Meet WALLACE! What a guy!! He is a four-year old purebred English Bulldog... current on Rabies vaccination, house and crate trained. WALLACE is a sweet, lovable tub of dog who is friendly, happy and confident. He loves to be scratched, petted... anything hands on is good for him! He has issues with cats. I don't know if he's never been around cats and is just super-curious or has had some experience with chasing them. He currently is unable to actually catch my two cats but tries every time he sees them cross his path. WALLACE keeps telling me that he just wants to sniff 'em, but with such a short nose, he has to be right on 'em to do that! We are currently working on this 'cat thing' and have shown incredible improvement recently!! WALLACE is also the typical English Bulldog with an attitude that betrays that he has never been told what to do or been given any boundaries. He's comin' around and will need a consistent hand guiding him to be the best dog I know he can be. WALLACE will need his face wrinkles cared for on a daily basis so he doesn't develop a yeast infection in those grandiose facial folds of his (he is super-cute). He's a pretty good-sized dog at a potentially unhealthy 80# and will need new parents that will never ever allow him to get this heavy again!! Once he shaves off some of this weight, he will be a brand new dog! He's not one of those "out-of-the-box" perfect dogs, but he will be with the right home and the 'absolutely mandatory, you ain't gettin' out of it', attendance at obedience classes. WALLACE will ONLY be adopted locally in the Boise, Idaho area. If you feel you could be the right home for WALLACE, please email Megan at catpaws70@yahoo.com for an adoption profile.
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] PENNY
This sweet thing is PENNY! PENNY is an Airedale/Lab mix... about 1 1/2 years old and one of the nicest dogs around. She weighs about 50 pounds, is house and crate trained and would love to adopt a family that would take her places and teach her everything! She loves other dogs, is great with kids and is a really smart girl. PENNY is very interactive and is interested in just about everything I do. She's a curious girl and is like a sponge when it comes to learning things. She will make a delightful hospital therapy dog and I feel that she will excel at agility! She's not really interested in my cat, but my cat is so 'dog desensitized' that there really isn't much to be interested IN, you know? But as willing as PENNY is, she'll be super easy to train no matter what. Visit www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form or call Jolene at 365.6844 if you are interested in knowing more about PENNY.
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] DIZZ DOG
It's time to meet the "DIZZ DOG"! His name is actually DIZZLE, but DIZZ DOG works for me! DIZZ is close to turning three-years old. He's dog-friendly, happy, playful and ready for a new home. His recent owner was not able to continue to care for him properly and wants to find a new home for him. He's been around small dogs and does well. Good with kids. House trained, but you KNOW that every new environment needs maintainence. DIZZ will be crate trained by the time he goes to his new home. He knows most of the basic obedience commands, but 1/2 price classes are included in his adoption fee. He's a very responsive boy that will make a wonderful family dog. He will loyally sit beside you while you read or watch TV and he LOVES to be carressed and loved on, but is also an active, healthy boy that would like and active life of camping, hiking, jogging, play and off-leash fun! He's on the small side of a male Lab (about 55-60 pounds), but a big dose of love is included in the deal! Call Jolene at 365.6844 or go to www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form to inquire about the DIZZ DOG!
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] BO
Meet sweet BO!! What a beautiful dog this is... he's a purebred yellow Labrador Retriever... approximately 9 years old and a pure delight! A friend of mine walked into the IHS and saw him sitting all alone, couldn't leave him there on the cement, so took him home with her. I now have him here in foster care with me. BO is a sweetheart! His favorite thing to do is follow you (and especially KIDS) around with a toy or a bone in his mouth! It's sooooo cute! He's so puppy-like... playful, happy and always has a 'smile' on his face! I would like a family with kids for BO. He loves company, so one stay-at-home parent would be a dream. He is crate trained, and with proper attention (a dog door would be perfect!), very well house trained. He pays little to no attention to my cat, but I haven't really had them nose to nose... my cat has a 'screen house' and is out there a lot with no attention from BO. He's perfect weight right now at around 60 - 65 pounds. The vet we took him to says that he does NOT seem to have hip dysplasia' but he is 9 years old, so we're giving him a Glucosamine/Chrondroiton supplement that seems to work well to keep him 'limber' and happy! If you want to adopt a wonderful older dog, here he is! Visit www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form (on the menu) or call Jolene at 208.365.6844 to inquire about BO!
[This listing is provided as a service to a private rescue; this is not a PAWS dog.] BLAKE
Say hello to the newest 'furkid' on the block... BLAKE! He is a one-year old purebred black Labrador Retriever... and what a handsome boy! He is average size... about 65 pounds of devoted, loyal and unconditional love! Unfortunately, BLAKE unknowingly caused an allergic reaction in one of the kids in his family... through no fault of his own, he lost his home. Everyone is very sad, but that happens sometimes. BLAKE is a VERY sweet boy! He is playful and has a ton of personality! He is house trained, crate trained and knows how to use a dog door very well! He has been raised around kids, so he would like to have a family with children, but that's certainly not a requirement. We don't know about cats, but a great young dog like this can learn just about anything we need to teach him. I will include 1/2 price obedience classes with his adoption. One year old is a GREAT age ... he's past a lot of the puppy stuff and will be A LOT of fun this summer... Labs love water, camping, just about anything you throw at them! BLAKE is happy, healthy and ready to start on his next new adventure! Please visit www.therightcarefordogs.com and fill out a Family Profile Form or call Jolene at 208.365.6844 if you would like to know more about BLAKE!
